January News and Upcoming Events

Happy 2020!

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and we are  excited to kick off a new year and a new decade with our alumni. To give everyone a bit of a breather after the festive season, we have scheduled our next batch of events to start in mid-January.

But we have the Third Annual All Ivy Plus New Year Drinks, a discussion with Dr. Nina Ansary (BC ’89, GSAS ‘13,  P’19), and our annual Lunar New Year dinner in Chinatown to celebrate the arrival of the year of the Rat.

We are excited about the year ahead, and hope you’ll join us for at least one event (if not all of them). After all, what better new year’s resolution is there than to commit to connecting with other alumni over a meal or tickling your brain cells at one of our enlightening talks?

Lastly, our annual Holiday Party sold over 100 raffle tickets to support Crisis UK. Keeping in the spirit of giving, we hope to raise a bit more to support Crisis’ year-round services as homelessness isn’t seasonal.

Remember to keep an eye on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for more updates and the latest information on all our activities.

Do reach out at connect@columbiaclub.london if you need anything.

Helping Our Community Through Crisis UK

Thousands of people will be without a home this winter and are in urgent need of the unique package of support that Crisis offers.

Each of our £28.87 valued donations will reserve a place for someone in need. Our goal this season is to help another 10 people—but the more we raise, the more we can help. 100% of the proceeds go straight to Crisis. Every pound will make a difference.

Please give what you can.

Save the date:

Sometime in Q1 we will have our first Open Board Meeting of 2020. This is an open forum for Board members, interested volunteers, and club members to meet Club leadership and discuss plans for the future. Stay tuned to the newsletter for confirmed details when we have them, but in the meantime, interested volunteers should email connect@columbiaclub.london
