The calendar says it’s February. But anyone outdoors wouldn’t be held at fault thinking it’s June as the mercury hits 18ºc (64ºF) today. We hope you’re able to take advantage of the sunshine (as we’re sure it won’t last much longer).

We still have tickets remaining for this tomorrow’s lecture with Columbia Professor Matthew McKelway on Nagasawa Rosetsu's painting of five hundred disciples of the Buddha (arhats) on a piece of paper approximately one-inch square.

We also have planned a Young Alumni Happy Hour, a CVC event, and an afternoon out for a viewing of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic On The Basis Of Sex. Also scroll down for a limited number of VIP Passes for the fifth edition of Photo London at the Somerset House—these will go quickly!

Professor Matthew McKelway | Thursday February 28th, 18:30

Professor McKelway specializes in the history of Japanese painting and will be discussing Nagasawa Rosetsu's paiting of five hundred disciples of the Buddha (arhats) on a piece of paper approximately one-inch square.

Born into the family of a low-ranking samurai, Nagasawa Rosetsu (1754-1799) is renowned today as one of the most imaginative artists of early modern Japan.

CUCL is proud to host in partnership with the Japan Society.

Stephane Cojot-Goldberg (BUS'05) created an aesthetic and sensual approach to geography inspired by his favorite painters, from Rothko to Pollock to Nicolas de Staël and Zao Wou-Ki. All backgrounds are more than welcome—it's simply about being open to connecting with a fellow Columbia alum with similar interests, and potentially acting as a sounding board or sharing your own experience depending on your future mentees objectives.
