March News and Upcoming Events

The calendar says it’s February. But anyone outdoors wouldn’t be held at fault thinking it’s June as the mercury hits 18ºc (64ºF) today. We hope you’re able to take advantage of the sunshine (as we’re sure it won’t last much longer).

We still have tickets remaining for this tomorrow’s lecture with Columbia Professor Matthew McKelway on Nagasawa Rosetsu's painting of five hundred disciples of the Buddha (arhats) on a piece of paper approximately one-inch square.

We also have planned a Young Alumni Happy Hour, a CVC event, and an afternoon out for a viewing of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic On The Basis Of SexAlso scroll down for a limited number of VIP Passes for the fifth edition of Photo London at the Somerset House—these will go quickly!

Make sure you book for our events on the website and be follow us on Facebook and Instagram for new announcements.

Please also keep in touch. Reach out at [email protected] if you need anything.

Born into the family of a low-ranking samurai, Nagasawa Rosetsu (1754-1799) is renowned today as one of the most imaginative artists of early modern Japan.

CUCL Mentorship — Mentors Needed

The Columbia University Club of London is looking for mentors... and we hope one of those mentors will be you!

Being a mentor means giving back to the Columbia community on your own terms and doesn't require any specific background or time commitments. All backgrounds are more than welcome—it's simply about being open to connecting with a fellow Columbia alum with similar interests, and potentially acting as a sounding board or sharing your own experience depending on your future mentees objectives. To participate, click here to sign-up with a 2 minute survey, specify your background and whether you're interested in a lighter-touch relationship (phone call, emails) or building a longer lasting relationship. We'll then be able to match you with a mentee that could benefit from your experience and shares similar objectives.
