We’ve been in full swing since the start of 2023.
CUCL started our year of events on a high note with a private event on Valentine’s Day at Queer Britain, the UK’s first dedicated LGBTQ museum. Together with Columbia Pride and US Alumni Club Pride, we hosted a lively reception with access to the museum’s galleries—it was a night to remember.
Last week, on International Women’s Day, we gathered in Kensington at the V&A Museum alongside Columbia College Women for a guided tour of the contributions of remarkable women to the museum’s permanent collection. Check out recent pictures from these events on our Instagram page.
But not to fret if you weren’t able to make it out to either of those events, as next week we’re co-hosting an evening of friendly competition and networking with LSE Alumni London on 21 March. We are gathering to pass the baton as LSE’s current President and Vice Chancellor, Baroness Minouche Shafik, is departing London in July and moving to Morningside to become the 20th president of Columbia University. You can learn more about Minouche HERE.
Finally, be sure to save the date for 24 of April, for our Alumni Fireside Chat with Donna MacPhee ‘89CC and Rob Rooney '89CC, former chief executive of Morgan Stanley’s international business and now CEO at fintech firm HyperJar.
Thank you to all who’ve joined us so far and we hope to see many more of you at our upcoming events. Keep reading for all the details.
