Our esteemed vice president of alumni relations and president of the Columbia Alumni Association, Donna MacPhee '89CC, will be joining us in London and speaking with special guest, Xavier Rolet KBE ‘84BUS.
The ticket fee will include canapés and two drinks (wine or beer). A cash bar will be available.
Please Note: the Oxford and Cambridge Club, require all Members and their guests will dress in a fashion in keeping with the tenor of the Club. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie. Donna H. MacPhee ’89CC P: ’17CC is the Vice President for alumni relations and President of the Columbia Alumni Association (CAA). Donna earned her Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and was one of the College's first female graduates. She went on to earn an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business and then dedicated her career to entities related to professional athletics, including managing finances for various departments of the National Hockey League. Prior to returning to Columbia in 2008, she served as co-founder and managing director of Event Management Associates, providing event marketing and meeting planning services for a broad range of not-for-profit and corporate clients.
Donna was a member of the Columbia Women’s Varsity tennis team as an undergraduate and has remained involved in Columbia athletics over the years as an alumna, and co-founding the Women's Leadership Council (WLC). In 2008, Donna was chosen as one of Columbia's 25 most influential athletic alumnae.
Xavier R. Rolet, KBE ‘84BUS, serves as the Chief Executive Officer at CQS (UK) LLP since January 14, 2019. He served as the Group Chief Executive Officer of London Stock Exchange Group plc, an affiliate at London Stock Exchange Plc from May 20, 2009 to November 29, 2017 and served as its Executive Director from March 16, 2009 to November 29, 2017.
Mr. Rolet served as Non-Executive Director at Verseon Corporation until February 23, 2019. Mr. Rolet served as the Chief Executive of Lehman Brothers at France of Lehman Brothers Inc. since August 2007 and served as its Head of Senior Relationship Management for Europe since 2003. Since joining Lehman in 2000, he has worked in a variety of roles including Co-Head of Global Equity Trading. He has 25 years of international markets experience gained at a number of major financial institutions. From 2000 to 2008, he served as a senior executive at Lehman Brothers (Europe), where he was instrumental in developing its business into Europe's leading agency broker.
Mr. Rolet served as a Second Lieutenant and Instructor at the French Air Force Academy in 1981 prior to attending Columbia University Graduate School of Business, where he gained an MBA in January 1984. He is also a 2008 graduate of the post-graduate Institut des Hautes Etudes de Defense Nationale in Paris. He serves as Member of Supervisory Board at Columbia Business School.
