July Happy Hour with CAA New Jersey

Hello to all our new readers. We have a new crop of alumni in the Columbia University Club of London since commencement this past May. We hope to meet you soon at one of our upcoming events.

In June we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of talented undergraduate students to London as part of the Columbia Experience Overseas (CEO) program. They will be here for the next month completing their summer internships in a range of fields around London. We’re excited they’re experiencing the city we call home.

We also had our annual send-off, graciously hosted this summer by Britta Jacobson CC’96, for newly accepted students. They are all very eager to be moving to Morningside Heights next month to begin their first year as a Columbia Students. Go Lions!

Happy Hour in Hyde Park with CAA New Jersey | July 10th, 19:00-22:00

If you’ve not experienced the Open House at British Summer Time Hyde Park, you’ve been missing out. Some of the countless attractions include tennis screenings live from Wimbledon, street food stalls from all over the world, pop up bars serving draft & craft beer, wine & cocktails. And we’ll be co-hosting with CAA New Jersey who’s members will be in London for the week.

Meeting Spot: Coming from the North Entrance, meet at Village Green between the windmill and Barclay Card Sensorium.

Join our Young Alumni (or those young at heart) and our Columbia Experience Overseas (CEO) interns for evening drinks at Bar Elba, a rooftop bar in London Waterloo. Our last event in July, so please stop by for a pint and say hello.

V&A Museum in Dundee Scotland | October 12, 2009

Join us for an exclusive tour of the new V&A Museum in Dundee, Scotland led by our own Maurizio Mucciola (GSAPP ‘07). Maurizio is a director at PiM.studio Architects and was the project architect in charge of delivering the revolutionary building, which has already won a number of prizes for its innovative design and stunning form.
