On View
The gallery will showcase a selection of works from core artists of its programme, including Markus Amm, Pablo Bronstein, Christina Mackie, and Nicole Wermers. The presentation opens with drawings from Bronstein’s celebrated Gilded Keyhole series which were originally shown at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. His whimsical and ornate treatment of the subject speaks to Wermers’ four photographs of the Musée Rodin’s Rococo interiors which form her Buhuu Suite. Deeper into the gallery, ceramics and watercolours by Christina Mackie and paintings by Markus Amm come together in a vibrant chromatic display. For both artists, material and colour are central elements to their practice, and the juxtaposition of their works highlights their methodical, almost alchemical, processes.
