Dinner, Basketball, and Networking

We hope everyone is having a prosperous and positive start to 2026.

This evening, we’re hosting our inaugural Columbia Alumni Global Sustainability Network (CAGSN) happy hour. Interest has been tremendous, and the event sold out so quickly that it didn’t make sense to include it in the upcoming events listing below. As this is our first event of this kind, we intentionally started small, but the level of enthusiasm has been encouraging. We’re already exploring ways to expand similar programming—so pencil in April 21 for our next CAGSN event.

But don’t worry if you missed reserving your spot, as we have two other events you won’t want to miss. First is our Lunar New Year dinner, one of CUCL’s most anticipated annual traditions. This event consistently sells out and tickets move quickly, so don’t miss your chance to share a festive meal with fellow alumni later this month.

And to kick off March (or should we say tip off), we’re gathering south of the river to watch the mighty Columbia Women’s Basketball team take on Harvard in the final regular-season matchup between these top Ivy League teams for the 2025–26 season. It promises to be a lively evening of school spirit, friendly rivalry, and alumni camaraderie, and we hope you’ll join us.

March also sees our CVC chapter hosting another great lineup with Christiana Rosales CBS’21, Head of Venture Building for Mission Studio by Nesta.

As the seasons begin to change and spring approaches, we have even more planned. Keep an eye out for upcoming happy hours and co-hosted gatherings with other alumni clubs.

We also encourage you to stay connected with the CUCL community through Slack and LinkedIn (links below). While the CUCL board does its best to answer questions and support members, the strength of our community comes from alumni supporting one another. Members often reach out about topics such as the High Potential Individual (HPI) visa, career opportunities across industries, and general networking. If you have expertise, advice, or simply want to connect with fellow alumni—whether professionally, socially, or around shared interests—we encourage you to join the conversation. If you are interested in helping organize networking or social events, we would be delighted to hear from you.

We look forward to seeing you at an event soon.
