Alumni Holiday Gathering: Pizza Included

CUCL Board with Holder and Breuer

The holiday season is on the horizon, and a chill is in the air.

This time of year, particularly for those celebrating Thanksgiving next week, is an opportunity to reflect on the past year and look ahead.

We’re thankful for such a great community of alumni in London and across the UK. It’s been a remarkable year of events, with two that really stand out. First, we hosted Nobel Laureate and Columbia University Professor Joseph Stiglitz for a wonderful evening of conversation and debate. More recently, we welcomed fellow alumni Eric H. Holder Jr. CC’73, LAW’76, the 82nd Attorney General of the United States, and Lanny A. Breuer CC’80, SIPA’84, LAW’85, former Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division, for a discussion on the pressing topics of the day.

We’re excited for next year which we hope will be full of great opportunities for growth and learning. In early 2026, be on the lookout for events from the Columbia Alumni Global Sustainability Network, Columbia Venture Community (CVC), and other CUCL programs, including our annual Lunar New Year dinner.

But 2025 isn’t over yet. Join us for our holiday party on December 2nd for a relaxed evening with fellow alumni (plus plenty of pizza) in Holborn. The holidays can be anxiety-inducing, so a casual, low-stress get-together should be fun for all.

We hope you have a wonderful holiday season, and we look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

Happy holidays!
Stephen, John, Rana, Spyros, and Courtney
